Borris House, Carlow — September 2025
Some weddings stay with you long after the day is over. Shannon and Robbie’s celebration at Borris House was one of those.
Borris House holds personal meaning for me, it’s where I got married in 2022 and returning for the first time since then made this wedding feel extra special.
Shannon and Robbie live in Australia, and many of their friends travelled all the way to Ireland to be there with them. That sense of effort, connection, and shared history was present throughout the weekend. There was emotion everywhere, but it was balanced by energy, laughter, and a genuine sense of celebration.
A few moments stood out. Their first look was incredibly special, with Robbie’s reaction saying everything before a single word was spoken. Later, the vows, deeply personal and beautifully considered, became the emotional heart of the film.
Shannon & Robbie met when they were young, and it’s immediately clear how deep and enduring their relationship is. Nothing felt forced. Nothing was performed. The day unfolded naturally, and I followed it as it happened, capturing the quiet inbetween moments just as much as the bigger emotions.
Calm, emotional, and full of life, this was one of my favourite weddings of the year to film.
