September 10th 2017, was a day of firsts for me. It was the day I shot my first destination wedding and it was the day Little Bear Films celebrated its first birthday. It was a day to remember.
Victoria and Stephen’s wedding took place in the most picturesque venue you could imagine, just north of Palma on the island of Mallorca. Ses cases de sa font seca is a 17th century country estate that pretty much caused by jaw to drop the second I walked in. Walking around the terraces, courtyards and amphitheatre (where the ceremony took place) I knew I was gonna have a fun day.
Victoria and Stephen’s priority after the ceremony was to spend time with their guests and not have to miss a chunk of their reception doing a photo/video session. For that reason, I suggested doing a First Look. It ended up being one of the most emotional moments of the day and Stephen’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time set the tone for the rest of the day.
Surrounded by friends and family Victoria and Stephen’s intimate ceremony took place in the incredible amphitheatre at the venue, followed by drinks and amazing music by the Tramontana Trio as the sun went down. A beautiful dinner, sensational speeches and some epic dancing followed, with the party continuing into the early hours.
You only need to spend a few moments in Victoria and Stephen’s company to tell that they are two people head over heels in love with each other. Their day was the perfect celebration of that love and I’m delighted they asked me to be their wedding videographer.
